The information on this page is to help guide you through the process of leading an event for the York County Corvette Club. Whether you want to propose an event, or take the lead for an existing event, the information you need to be successful is found here.

Put together the basics of the event you are proposing. This includes the date (or dates if a multiple day event), type of event (show, day cruise, rallye, etc), a general description, any costs associated, and the URL to any webpage that promotes the event, if applicable.

If accepted for inclusion as a club event, you will be notified by email.
If the venue for your event requires proof of insurance, complete an Insurance Certificate request and submit it as least 14 days prior to the event. Copy the submission to programs@yorkcountycorvette.com More info on event insurance is here.
If applicable, create a flyer (or download from the Internet if a public event that published one) and provide to programs@yorkcountycorvette.com
Program Director will provide the Webmaster and Newsletter Publisher with the details of your event. This will ensure your event is published to our website calendar and Newsletter in a consistent way.
Determine what information you want to collect from the members who sign up.

Webmaster will turn your request into a form that collects the data requested
Webmaster will provide you a link to the form. You are encouraged to test the form and accept as is or request change.
Once you accept the form, notify the Webmaster. They will email the form to the club along with a link to a spreadsheet that contains the data as it is collected. This way participants can see who else is signed up.
IMPORTANT: At the beginning of the event, it is your responsibility to ensure that all participants sign the NCCC Waiver. Participants should list their NCCC number in the column labeled duties. Be prepared to have more than enough copies of the waiver to ensure everyone can sign. Download a copy of the waiver HERE.
Lead the club through the event. This may be leading a caravan of cars to the destinations, etc.
Write a paragraph or two recap of the event and submit it to publisher@yorkcountycorvette.com for inclusion in the following months newsletter. Copy programs@yorkcountycorvette.com
IMPORTANT: Provide the original signed waivers from the event to the club Governor as soon as possible.
